Venetian Spritz Cocktail

Venetian Spritz Cocktail

Makes 1 martini.


1 cup crushed ice
4 capers
2 ½ ounces tsipouro
½ ounce dry vermouth
½ ounce caper brine from the jar
1 caper berry with stem


Place the ice cubes and capers in a cocktail shaker. Using a muddler, muddle the capers and ice until they are both crushed well. Add the tsipouro, vermouth and caper brine and shake well.

Strain into a well-chilled martini glass. Garnish with a caperberry.
