Joanne Weir Culinary Tour Terms

To Reserve a Place

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis but are not completed until we receive your initial deposit in the amount specified on the registration page. The deposit is required to reserve a place. Space is limited, so early registration and deposit payment is advised.

The balance of your tour payment is due no later than one hundred and twenty (120) days before the first day the tour begins. This is the “final balance payment date.” You will be notified by email that the final payment date is approaching two weeks prior. To avoid an additional surcharge, the balance shall be paid by personal check or bank wire transfer.

If the final payment is not received by the final payment date, Joanne Weir LLC reserves the right to cancel your reservation and your deposit will be forfeited.

Price is inclusive of accommodations, cooking classes, excursions, tuition, food, and wine served during meals. The price is also inclusive of pre-arranged group transfers to and from the group meeting point at the designated time.

Joanne Weir LLC is not responsible for any other expenses incurred by you in preparing to attend the tour. You are responsible for arranging and payment of your airfare and ground transportation to the pre-arranged group meeting point, any other hotel stays, and other ground transportation. Prices do not include possible optional trips or special transfers that you may take before and/or after the tour.

Price is quoted on a double occupancy basis. Single room supplements are as noted, and single occupancy rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If requested, Joanne Weir LLC will do our best to try to find another participant to share a double room with you, but this is not guaranteed. If we cannot find a participant to share your room, you may incur a single supplement charge.

Upon receipt of your deposit, provided space is available, Joanne Weir LLC will send confirmation of your reservation.

Cancellation and Refunds

All cancellations of confirmed reservations must be submitted in writing and will become effective on the date of receipt.  

Refunds are subject to a $500.00 per person administrative fee.

No refunds will be given for cancellations within one hundred and twenty (120) days of the tour commencement date unless you or Joanne Weir LLC can fill your space with another paying participant by no later than two weeks of the commencement of the tour.  

However, if you cancel your reservations prior to the one hundred and twenty days (120) prior to your tour commencement date, and have timely paid your initial deposit, you can avoid cancellation administrative fees and/or loss of deposit fees/tour fees by agreeing to apply the funds as a deposit and/or final payment to another Joanne Weir Culinary Tour chosen by you, pending availability and commencing within twelve (12) months from the cancelled tour start date.  Should you cancel the new tour, all funds will be forfeited. 

If the tour needs to be rescheduled to a later date due to Covid-19 related flight restrictions, flight cancellations or otherwise, you will have priority on the rescheduled tour, and may apply your deposit and/or final payment, to the rescheduled tour or another available tour. If you have a conflict with the date of the rescheduled tour and you are not able to attend, all deposits and final payments will be fully refunded.

If two people book a room together and one of the roommates cancels the trip for any reason and you or Joanne Weir LLC cannot fill the space, you may incur a single supplement charge.

In the event a tour does not receive the minimum number of participants, Joanne Weir LLC reserves the right to cancel any such program and shall refund all payments received from you and the refund shall release Joanne Weir LLC from any liability related to the canceled tour.

The quoted price is based on current costs and foreign exchange rates and is therefore subject to change. If there is a price change, you will be notified well in advance.


Services provided by Joanne Weir LLC in connection with the tour, such as lodging and all forms of transportation, are rendered by independent contractors who are not agents or employees of Joanne Weir LLC. Participants expressly agree that Joanne Weir LLC shall not be liable for any delay, mishap, inconvenience, expense, bodily injury or death or damage to property occasioned through the acts, negligence or defaults of any company or individual engaged in providing the services arranged by Joanne Weir LLC. Joanne Weir LLC shall not be liable, directly or indirectly, for any injury, death or damage for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited Force Majeure, such as to acts of God, detention, war, government regulations or advisory, natural disasters, fire, accidents or other casualty, strikes or threat of strikes, pandemic, epidemic, quarantine, weather, terrorism, civil disturbance, changes in government regulations, etc. Joanne Weir LLC will not be responsible for any belongings/property damaged, lost, or left behind by the participant. Joanne Weir LLC reserves the right to substitute itinerary items of equal value without notice to participants.

By checking the box on the registration form, each participant signifies acceptance of and agreement to be bound by all the terms and conditions.

**It is strongly recommended that participants obtain travel insurance.  Please note that travel insurance policies and their provisions vary greatly.
